Hi Ali,

Just to say a big thanks to you and your team for organising the day on Sunday.

But how did you get him up there to send us such good weather, it really did make the day more enjoyable after all the rain we had recently.

Always a lot of hard work organising these events, which I'm sure every one appreciated

After all the training done during the year its rewarding to be able to see how the dogs are progressing and put it all together at the end of the season.

And Pip, well I never, joint first, it was a pleasant surprise, and I was delighted with my little Black and White bundle of fun.

Hope to see you in 2010, with and even better trained dog and handler.

Thanks for organising today - good fun but I now realise there is a long way to go before we can get scores in the high nineties! If you could send a copy of the score sheet that would be helpful although I obviously know where the major loss of marks came. Hope you all have a good winter season and have some relaxation time on a sunday because March will come round all too soon. My aim is for you to notice an improvement in Pepper's behaviour by then - a challenge to myself!

Thank you Ali for an enjoyable introduction to the West Berks gun dog trials. Harvey enjoyed himself too as it was a novel experience for us both. We have just had 1 lesson with Allan and look forward to working towards new skills together. A break down of our results would be helpful. We have never done exercises 3 and 4 so poor old Harvey was at a loss (as well as me !) However,he's going to be busy next week................. Thanks Regards Ro Facer

Hi Ali

I just wanted to drop you an email to say how much I enjoyed Sundays training. I also wondered if you might pass on a special thanks to Tima who was really fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and her style of training was perfect for Bertie and I. I really felt like I walked away with a lot of valuable advice. Despite the weather I really enjoyed every minute!

I am really looking forward to getting stuck in next year to more training!

Hi Ali,

Just a quick note to say thank you for your help this year at training with Mabel (springer spaniel), I know we have missed a few sessions due to holidays, me competing my horse and various other factors but those that we have attended we have learnt lots, and they have given us lots of things to work on at home.

Mabel had her first day out shooting on Saturday and was an absolute star! Worked really well, listening to me, looking for direction and brilliant working any cover and managed to put up a few birds. Didn't do any retrieving with her, just worked her in the beating line as still feel we have a bit to work on before I am entirely certain that I will actually get the bird back without her running around with it for 10 minutes!!

Hope you have a good season working your dogs.

Hi Ali,
Just a quick note to thanks you for the great training days that have progressed me and Zillah.

Apologies for (again) being gobsmacked when Zillah won the puppy event - I had assumed that Tia & Alfie would steal the show.

It was a super day and a great friendly spirit from all who attended. You and your colleagues are to be commended for creating such a fun atmosphere at the West Berks events.

We look forward to the restart in March, and eagerly await the new programme .... what's next .... the West Berks display team?

just to thank you for letting us attend the working test today (sunday 16th Nov) the boys and I had a fun morning. I would have liked to talk to you more, but I appreciated you were very busy with the mornings event. Seeing all the dogs work only re-enforced how much we would like our own dog. When we do eventually get our own dog I would very much like to join your club and attend the training courses.

Firstly, I must congratulate you on the success of the Club, it is so nice to meet such a lovely crowd of people and their dogs of course!

Secondly, the test run last Sunday was so well organised and everybody enjoyed it so much. I really do appreciate how much work went into the day and it was a total credit to you that it went so well.

Hi Ali, just to say, great day on Saturday, everyone appeared to enjoy the day, out with their dogs and of course good weather and plenty of food.

I noticed the Grad 1, handlers all seemed very keen, and it was interesting watching them handling their dogs.

Pleased with Pip, and where she did go wrong it was my fault. it,s nice to see all training is paying off.

Thanks to yourself, Alan and the team for running the event, being on club committees in the past I know its not always straight forward.

Just to say thanks to you and Martin for all your hard work organising the test day for us and for supplying such delicious pastries! I'm glad I went ahead. I was pretty pleased with her although there were bits that she can do much better when it suits. I feel it has been a reasonable progression over the summer since the last test - onwards & upwards now. The next thing is to stop her dashing off in a straight line on the scent of game. I feel this bit may be more difficult.... Have a good holiday and see you in approx 6 weeks hopefully although I realise that is the end of my half term so will possibly be away. Love Di
