One of my dogs is tattooed, and as he had to have his microchip removed because it turned nasty, I am really pleased he has the tattoo now with all the dog thefts that seem to happen now.

Where do you go to get the dog tattoo'ed? I tried my local vet and they won't help.

Hi Alicia ref dog tattoo just to let you we had our dog done when she was 8 wks,it did'nt seem to bother her that much, it was £25.00 there is a list of people that do it throughout thecountry if you have a look www.dog-register.co.uk or the main tel numb' is 01255 552455 you will find nearest tattoo to where you live.Once registered they give you a tag for your dogs collar with the above number ,good thing is if you go on holiday or anywhere else temp' they will change any contact details temporary free of charge, also change of address,my own reasons for doing this though was purely for identification if ever my dog was stolen and i ever thought i saw her i could physically check on the spot.I would def' reccomend this.Hope this has helped.
