Does anyone fancy an informal practice training session this Sunday 23rd?  Though it might be a nice idea to share tips and advice and would be good practice around other dogs, Harv could certainly do with that!  Let me know what you think.

In theory yes, but dog decided he would slice his paw last night and bleed all over the kitchen floor. H It may be too soon to do any training with him as I fear the cut may be quite deep so will take longer to heal.

the agilty day was organised by cath harris from the HVS, it was at westbury, wilts, she organises it every year and it was great fun, Islay did really well and was most improved in the beginers group as she flatly refused to go through the tunnel to start but by the end she would go through the straight one, she is very tired now, id like to do more and with willow too but is hard finding a club that lets go for a bit of fun.

So true.  Yes I heard about this through the Viz UK forums on FB but it was too far for us to go.  My local doggy club does agility training but i'd much rather get involved with something that's a bit more Vizsla orientated.  Why is good local agility so hard to find?  I'd start up my own club if I knew enough about it! :)

If you start one then I'm joining. I can't get into the agility class until .... wait for it..... 2013. That's over a year to wait.

We would be up for meeting on Sundays but we can't do this Sunday 30th as we're meeting another LM owner.

Chester better, I've taken off his bandage and it looks like the wound has healed, but he's constantly licking it. Took him down to Dorney for his first walk for a few days on Sunday and he got attached by two labs. Luckily Steve was on hand and grabbed one off Chester and threw him to the floor. The owners reaction was "there's no need for that". Let me think about it.... Your dogs are attacking my dog, tricky one!.

Vanessa, some clubs near us want you to pass their test before you can join and take it very seriously! others are just in small halls so not great, will look into with the little dog but think ive got enough to do with islay with the training without adding to it!!

Errr, I'm sorry, there most certainly IS a need for that!  Don't worry A, Matt was out walking and a very nasty JRT attacked Harv, Matt did the same thing and pinned the attacker to the floor with his foot until the owner came to rescue it!  If another person's dog attacks ours, we'll do whatever it takes to protect them.  Steve did exactly what any of us would have done.

2013!! Dear god.  I wonder what it would take to start a Viz agility?  I've probably got too much on though and maybe it would take up too much time??  Do I know enough about it??  Would be happy to discuss with someone?
