This is a bit of fun that the KC have set up to encourage people to be good dog owners, they were doing the bronze award at the national gun dog show so i thought id have a go with Islay. it consisted of: walk to heel on a lead, stop and wait by a gate (islay sat down straight away without being told!) walk through the gate before the dog then close it again, (islay say down again while i closed it) walk around other dogs, sit stay for 1 minute (islay sat on and stayed on one command) recall from 10 paces ( islay came and sat in front of me straight away) grooming and doing teeth and eye checks etc. we passed with flying colours and the man said the recall was of silver standard and asked where we trained as it was obvious she was a well trained dog!!! ifelt so proud of my little girl as there were lots of disractions but she was good, we are now going to enter the silver test at our next show in September!!! | |
